Yes. I am older. Congrats to me.
So, because it’s my birthday (not really, that’s totally coincidental), but mostly because y’all had to go through my I-can’t-figure-out-a-title saga with me, I’m going to do a little title reveal!
That’s right, I figured out the title! Not only that, but I also finished my rough draft this week! So this shall be my victory lap.
No, my Hansel and Gretel retelling will NOT be called A Path of Snuggles and Intense Eye Contact (maybe someday I’ll do a romance novel parody with that name). Instead it shall by called:

Paths Unknown! I feel like that title captures everything that I wanted it to. It refers to both physical paths as well as emotional paths, and it has an air of mystery without it seeming too intense and suspenseful.
Hopefully by my next newsletter, I will have a blurb to share with you! So far, my rough draft is in the territory of a short novel. This book will be about the came length as To Betray a King or The Hidden Gift, which will make it half the size of Waking Roslyn.
I sent it to my sister two days ago and the next morning, I looked and saw that she had been reading and making comments at 2:30 in the morning. Ha! THEN, she called me this morning to let me know she had finished it and told me all kinds of wonderful things about it. So I’m in a pretty good mood.
When will it be released?
Ask me again in a month. Right now, I’m tentatively planning on late April/early May, but there are some ducks I still need to get in a row before I pick a date. Gotta make sure I give myself plenty of time for all the editing stages!
StoryCon is this month!
I will be selling and signing books at STORYCON on February 21-22 at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, UT. The Exhibit hall where my booth will be located is FREE to the public, so if you want to pop in and say hi, you do not need to pay admission to the conference. There will be about 30 authors, as well as artists, educators, and other vendors. I’m sharing my booth with my wonderfully talented sister, Kimberly Pearl, who wrote the Alayan series. It’s gonna be fun, y’all!
